At this time, students will transition from the main webinar to the Zoom link for their topic and age group. From there, students will participate in three breakout sessions.

Round Robin

STEM professionals will share information about the current work they're doing in their field. They will then answer student-submitted questions.

Transition

Students will transition back to the main webinar. 

Activity Time!

STEM professionals will lead students in a hands-on activity related to that professional's career.

At this time, students will transition from the main webinar to the Zoom link for their topic and age group. From there, students will participate in three breakout sessions.

Student Speak

Students will share their research, thoughts, and feedback with each other.

A youth leader will let students know what's coming up next and how to prepare for it.

Closing Remarks

A youth leader will summarize the impact for today and the hope for the next two sessions.

Welcome Back!

Youth leaders will welcome back their fellow students.

Agenda Review

Students will preview the day's agenda, including the main content and setup for design thinking workshops.

Transition

At this time, students will transition from the main webinar to the Zoom link for their topic and age group. From there, students will be moved into their designated design teams.

Design Thinking Workshop Begins

Students will receive a brief overview of how a design thinking workshop is facilitated, after which a youth leader will guide students through the process. During this time, students will identify a challenge in their chosen field and use the DT steps to create a solution/community initiative that will address this challenge. 

Lunch Break

Students will be provided with a 30 minute lunch break. They may remain online and turn off their cameras during this time.
